Remote Private Event Coordinator (RPEC)

100% Remote (US) · Full-time · $60,000–$75,000 OTE

The honest pitch

Balloon Artisan is the largest balloon installation company in the world. Our team coordinates hundreds of events every month across 35 states — birthdays, baby showers, graduations, retirements, and every milestone in between — executed by our network of 100+ professional balloon artists. We're known for high-end corporate work (brands like Walmart, Shake Shack, Google, Crumbl and over 1,000 others trust us with their events), and that reputation means families keep coming to us to make their private celebrations feel just as spectacular.

As an RPEC, you are the person our private clients meet. You take inbound leads (calls, emails, social messages), guide clients through designing their dream project, close the sale, and then coordinate our creative team as they bring it to life. You own each event from first call to final photo.

No balloon experience required. Here's what we've learned hiring for this seat: this job takes two skills — event coordination and sales. We can teach you sales. We have a proven script and process, and if you can follow a process and genuinely enjoy talking to people, you will close deals. What we cannot teach is organization. If you're the person who keeps twelve moving pieces straight without being reminded, keep reading.

Read this before you apply

This role is demanding in specific ways. We'd rather you know now than at week three:

You'll juggle dozens of events at once. Every project has a client, an artist, a timeline, and details that punish sloppiness. Your organization system is your survival system. If you aren't organized, you will not succeed at this role.
You'll sell every day. Inbound only — no cold calling — but closing is part of the job and part of your pay. You'll follow our sales process and be measured on results.
The hours are real: 43–50 per week depending on your event load. Core day is 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST.
Events don't respect business hours. You'll have some early-morning and late-evening events. You don't have to be clocked in for them, but you must be reachable on your company phone while your events are live — including weekends — to answer questions from our creative team and troubleshoot.
The learning curve is steep. You'll be on a computer all day across multiple software tools, and you'll be expected to pick up new ones quickly. We document lessons learned as we go, and you'll contribute to that from week one.

If that list sounds exhausting, this isn't your role. If it sounds like a normal Tuesday for how your brain already works, we should talk.

Who does well here

Highly organized and detail-oriented — you'll be tested on this, not just asked about it
A natural communicator by phone, email, and Zoom
Tech literate: proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive, and fast at learning new software
Genuinely excited about being part of people's once-in-a-lifetime celebrations
Comfortable trying, failing, adjusting, and trying again
A strong GIF game is mandatory. We work incredibly hard, and the team chat is proof you can do that while having a good time

Compensation

$40K base salary
Tips: roughly $1,000–$1,500 per month
Monthly performance bonuses: $300–$2,000 per month
On-target earnings: $60,000–$75,000 per year. High performers advance in pay and responsibility — see below.

Where this role goes

RPEC is the gateway onto the Balloon Artisan team — everyone starts here. Prove you can drive strong sales while maintaining quality standards, and the next step is Remote Event Coordinator (REC), planning events for our corporate clients, with a salary and bonus increase.

From REC, there are two paths:

Path 1 — Individual contributor: Senior REC, focused on existing clients and outbound growth. Earning potential around $110K–$130K.

Path 2 — Management: Operations Manager, running the coordination engine. Earning potential around $100K–$120K.

These aren't hypothetical — this is how our current team got where they are. But to be straight with you: your job here will constantly evolve. If you want to find a stable seat and do the same thing for years, we're not your company.
