Job Overview
Flight Works, Inc., a growing OEM of advanced components for several major markets (including aerospace and medical), seeks 2nd Shift CNC Machine Operators (2:00pm-10:30pm approximately) with a drive for excellence and a strong work ethic. The company is located on Irvine, CA, and the position provides an opportunity to be exposed to a challenging, fast-paced work environment, multiple CNC machines - including 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, lathes, and a dual spindle mill-turn machine - to produce components for unique and cutting-edge applications.
Qualifications
- Must be familiar with HAAS CNC machines.
- Familiarity with metric and imperial units a plus.
- Ability to do machine set up a plus
- Minimum of one year's experience in CNC machining or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of G-codes and M-codes a plus
- Ability to set work offsets, tool offsets, tool changes…etc.
- Basic understanding of common metals and materials, along with relevant machining requirements.
- Proficient with common inspection tools. (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret component drawings, including geometric tolerances and specifications.
- Must be willing and able to follow verbal and written instructions, including detailed operation task lists.

Job description:
Primarily responsible is to operate multiple CNC Machines, load parts and verify that parts meet drawing specifications. Duties include running batch production runs with varying complexity. Responsibilities also include maintaining CNC machines. The role also requires performing deburring, cleaning, and other finishing processes, and part inspection using the appropriate tools. Tools will be supplied by Flight Works, Inc.
