Job Title: Accounting and Payroll Manager
Location: G&B / GGET Main Office, retail locations
Classification: Full-time, exempt
Reports to: Director of Strategic Operations
Compensation: $75 - $90k
The Accounting and Payroll Manager is responsible for recording daily transactions, reconciling accounts and managing AP/AR. They will work closely with outsourced bookkeepers. They will process the company’s biweekly payroll, generate financial reports, and ensure compliance in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Essential Duties

Maintain the company’s books

Record daily transactions

Resolve discrepancies between internal bookkeeping records and bank statements

Manage accounts payable & receivable
-
Track payments and process vendor bills in a timely manner
-
Process Payroll and generate financial reports
-
Calculate wages, manage tax withholdings, and submit payroll files

Prepare profit and loss statements
Other Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with GAAP

Perform HRIS admin work related to payroll, ensuring that new employees are onboarded to timekeeping and payroll systems

Participate in periodic budgeting meetings

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

Must have accounting or bookkeeping experience in a multi-unit retail or food service company

Strong experience using industry-standard accounting software

Strong math and analytical skills

High attention to detail

Experience creating and perpetually improving systems

Good understanding of large-scale retail operations and the various systems supporting them

Demonstrable ability to think critically and build solutions to problems you encounter

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to provide reliable transportation to/from work and for work-related errands

Must be proficient with Email, Google Drive, Slack and Microsoft Office
