Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate packaging machinery such as flexo presses, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines with precision and safety.
- Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment including Fanuc robots, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CNC programming systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate packaging processes.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control checks on packaged products.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools, including hand tools and fabrication equipment, to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the packaging process to meet manufacturing standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of production activities, shift reports, incident logs, and quality records.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, stamping presses, and welding tools.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), SolidWorks, CAM programming, CNC programming, and CNC machining techniques.
- Familiarity with factory safety protocols and quality control procedures within a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to use basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting during production.
- Experience with warehouse operations including materials handling with forklifts and inventory management.
- Knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication processes, assembly line operations, and hand tools usage.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
