JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Consultant is a core contributor to the research, analysis, and insights throughout the client’s pricing engagement. They help set the tone and are responsible for giving the client a legendary program experience.
This role will work closely with all Pricing I/O team members and the client to translate findings and research into insightful quantitative and qualitative analysis. They will also consult and communicate recommendations for improving pricing and packaging to monetize value and accelerate growth strategies.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shape and structure data sets for analysis to uncover areas of opportunity to improve monetization or reduce value leakage
- Build statistical and analytical models to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes leading to pricing and packaging recommendations
- Present findings and pricing insights to a wide range of client stakeholders, including department heads, executives, and investors
- Drive project timelines and provide proactive and consistent communication regarding objectives, status updates, outstanding requests, potential barriers, and results
- Lead and facilitate interviews with client-side employees, end customers, target prospects, and industry experts to gain insight into areas of value, customer preferences, and price sensitivity
- Design and execute research surveys to dive into price, value, and growth sentiment leveraging survey techniques such as Kano, Conjoint, MaxDiff, Gabor Granger, and Van Westendorp

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field, with 3+ years experience as a consultant or in a data analytics role. Ideally with software pricing, marketing or product value in B2B SaaS
OR
- Master’s degree in a field mentioned above, with 1+ years of relevant experience
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to turn complex data sets into actionable insights
- Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools, including Tableau, Python, and Microsoft Excel
- AI competency, fluency and understanding how to leverage the best tool for the task at hand
- Polished written and verbal communication skills to synthesize information and “tell the story” to help drive monetization strategy and decisions
- Ability to determine key takeaways and communicate technical concepts to clients from a range of different backgrounds
- Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team and deliver high-quality content under tight time constraints while exhibiting a growth mindset
- A confident, positive attitude respecting different viewpoints to build team value
- Sense of urgency without sacrificing quality, as well as a “can do” attitude
- Strong interpersonal, strategic, and tactical planning and analytical skills.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
- Successful track record in delivering insightful analyses and research
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques such as regression, clustering and decision tree learning
- Experience working for a management consulting, venture capital, private equity firm, or other high-profile environments, and/or experience working with high-tech enterprise software and SasS business models
ABOUT THE JOB
- Position Type: Full-time
- Fully remote with occasional travel (2-4 team meetings per year in San Diego, occasional on-site meetings with clients)

STARTING SALARY RANGE
- $78,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience (this covers Associate I, II, and Sr. Associate positions)
- Bonus is included for Associate II and Sr. Associate roles
