Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

Gravitas is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team based in Staten Island, NY. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records and reports. If you have a strong background in accounting and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Cash reconciliations
Assist with accounting projects as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
Collaborate with other department members to ensure seamless financial operations

Requirements:

1+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
