Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in accordance with educational standards such as Montessori or other early childhood education frameworks
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management
- Engage children in activities that promote cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's unique needs
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, transitions, and behavior management strategies
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and lesson planning
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and literacy education techniques
- Familiarity with curriculum development methods such as Montessori or other early childhood educational philosophies
- Experience caring for toddlers and implementing age-specific activities that promote physical activity and cognitive growth
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists in special education or child welfare
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment for all students
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; relevant experience may substitute where applicable
