Role Overview
This is a channel-driven, strategic business development role, focused on building long-term partnerships and opening new market opportunities for HQTS.
The role is not a traditional sales closing position. Instead, it focuses on:
- Identifying and developing strategic channels
- Building relationships with large enterprise clients and industry ecosystems
- Engaging senior stakeholders in global consumer goods supply chains
- Supporting long-cycle, high-value opportunity development
Typical stakeholders include major global brands such as Walmart, Disney, LEGO, and other large retailers and manufacturers.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new business channels and strategic partnerships across target industries (consumer goods focus: textiles, footwear, toys, children’s products, furniture, electronics, home appliances, etc.)
- Identify and engage key sourcing hubs, trade networks, and regional market opportunities
- Build and execute market entry and expansion strategies for HQTS services (inspection, testing, auditing, SQE, ESG, compliance)
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with global brands, retailers, trade associations, chambers, and industry organizations
- Drive partnership discussions including referral models, lead-sharing agreements, and strategic alliances
- Conduct early-stage discovery with clients to understand needs, decision-making structure, timelines, and commercial potential
- Qualify opportunities and hand over sales-ready leads to internal Sales teams for execution
- Represent HQTS at selected strategic industry events, trade shows, and conferences (focus on relationship-building rather than lead volume)
- Work closely with Sales, Technical, Operations, and Marketing teams to align messaging and solution positioning
- Provide structured market feedback on competitors, industry trends, and customer needs
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in business development, channel development, strategic partnerships, or consultative B2B sales
- Background in supply chain, quality assurance, manufacturing, international trade, inspection/testing services, or related industries
- Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders (Director level and above)
- Proven experience in opening new accounts, channels, or regional markets
- Strong understanding of B2B long sales cycles and relationship-driven business development
- Ability to understand basic technical/commercial concepts in supply chain and product compliance (not deep engineering required)
- Strong commercial judgment and opportunity qualification ability
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Fluent English
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in quality assurance, testing, inspection, auditing, ESG, compliance, or supply chain services
- Experience working with global consumer brands sourcing from China, Southeast Asia, or South Asia
- Exposure to trade events, industry associations, or government / quasi-government business promotion bodies
- Additional European languages are a strong advantage for EU market development
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
