Full Job Description

Role Overview: Collections Specialist

Idea Financial is hiring a Collections Specialist to support the both internal and external collections efforts for Idea Financial and LevelEsq.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities, as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Review daily return reports to determine which customers have missed payments.
Communicate with customers by text, email and phone to ensure payments continue timely and without default.
Work with customers to provide hardship assistance where permitted.
Ensure UCC filings are timely made to protect company interests;
Initiate UCC enforcement actions.
Investigate historical data for each debt.
Update account status records and collection efforts.
Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
Work internally with Idea paralegals to organize and categorize defaults.
Coordinate with external collection partners and attorneys to facilitate the resolution of collection accounts.

Requirements:

3-5 years of commercial collection experience or;
1-3 years of litigation experience
Position will report to the Collections and Retention Specialist.
