## Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled TIG & SMAW Welder/Fitter to make repairs to a electrical transformers.
The ideal candidate will have experience repairing cooling fins or tubes on electrical transformers. Proximity to Milford is a plus, but not required.
Welding machine and consumables provided. Welders are expected to have their own PPE and hand tools for prep and cleaning.
Schedule is 10 hr days Mon-Saturday. Overtime applies after 40 hours. Hotel in Beaver UT provided plus $65/day for meals and incidentals.
## Duties
- Show up to work on time everyday and be alert during safety meetings
- Work under a Hot Work Permit.
- Staying off your phone for most working hours a day while working with your hands
- Pass drug screen and breathalyzer any day you're at work
- Listen and follow directions from supervisors
- Be a team player and pitch into any task required and don't refuse tasks below your skill set.
- Be willing to learn.
- Interpret and understand blueprints and welding processes
- Perform welding, cutting, and grinding duties with precision
- Fit and align fabricated metal parts
- Inspect your welds for accuracy and quality
- Operate hand tools and machinery such as welding machines, torches, calipers, grinders, profile gauges, tape measure, etc..
- Adhere to codes standards and safety regulations
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project requirements are met
## Requirements
- Pass a weld test - pipe fit & butt weld on a 45* angle
- Proficiency in welding techniques and equipment operation
- Experience with machining and soldering is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Competency in using basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in metal fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and quality control practices
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
