We are currently seeking a new member of our team! We are looking for someone who has experience with low voltage, data, AV and CCTV; installation and troubleshooting. For this position we are willing to train the right applicant if they are able to prove themselves able to learn a multitude of tasks.
Typical duties:
- Install infrastructure for low voltage cabling and equipment
- Run cables from headend to location using the infrastructure provided
- Working in teams or independently to integrate various low voltage systems and complete commercial installation and service projects
- Install electronic devices such as security cameras, TVs and network devices
- Terminate copper and fiber cables
- Mount faceplates and surface mount boxes correctly
- Adhere to IES COMMERCIAL labeling standards
- Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required
- Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels)
- Performs testing: continuity test horizontal and riser cable; use of volt-ohmmeter; troubleshoot opens, crosses, shorts and transpose pairs on horizontal and riser cable; use a tone set
- Identify active voice & data circuits
- Installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, or programming of numerous Audio Video Systems including: Crestron, RTI, Control4, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot technology equipment
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
- Troubleshoot devices and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on devices
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with power and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- The applicant must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
- The applicant must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
- The applicant must possess proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
Education, Certification, License, And Skill Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a preferred field
- Must possess and be proficient with basic hand tools
- Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards
- Driver’s License Required
- Personal Vehicle required
