What You'll Do
As Executive Chef, you'll lead the culinary vision and daily kitchen operations for both Jack Stack Catering and Storia Fine Catering, ensuring every event reflects the quality, creativity, and hospitality our guests expect.
You'll partner closely with Catering Operations, Sales, and Event teams to bring remarkable experiences to life while leading a high-performing culinary team committed to excellence.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing our Executive Sous Chef, Hot Prep Sous Chef, Cold Prep Sous Chef, Pastry Sous Chef, and culinary team members.
- Creating innovative seasonal menus while honoring the unique identity of both Jack Stack Catering and Storia Fine Catering.
- Driving culinary creativity, food quality, consistency, and presentation across every event.
- Overseeing food preparation, kitchen operations, and production to ensure flawless execution.
- Maintaining exceptional food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Managing inventory, food costs, labor efficiency, and production processes to maximize quality while minimizing waste.
- Collaborating with event teams to execute weddings, corporate events, galas, and private celebrations with precision and excellence.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing future culinary leaders through ongoing feedback, accountability, and professional growth.
- Ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional culinary experience that exceeds expectations.
What You Bring
You are a confident and inspiring leader who understands that remarkable kitchens are built through great people, strong systems, and a relentless commitment to quality.
You'll be successful if you have:
- Executive Chef or senior culinary leadership experience in catering, hospitality, fine dining, hotels, or high-volume restaurant environments.
- A passion for creating exceptional food and memorable guest experiences.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing kitchen teams.
- Strong knowledge of food production, inventory management, labor planning, and cost controls.
- Expertise in food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- ServSafe Certification or the ability to obtain certification.
