Responsibilities
- Safely deliver mail and packages along an assigned USPS contract route.
- Load, organize, and transport mail efficiently.
- Follow USPS operational procedures and route requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all assigned mail and packages.
- Handle accountable mail and packages with care.
- Maintain communication with management regarding route operations or issues.
- Operate your vehicle safely while complying with all traffic laws.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with USPS personnel and customers.
- Report vehicle or route concerns promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Clean background suitable for USPS contract work.
- Reliable qualifying vehicle capable of safely performing the route (SUV, Jeep, Minivan, Cargo Van, or similar vehicle with adequate cargo space).
- Current vehicle registration and auto insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous delivery or route-driving experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with USPS, Amazon, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other delivery services is a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Schedule
- Monday through Saturday.
- Consistent weekly schedule.
- Start and end times are based on USPS operational requirements and route completion.

Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks or personal vehicles to complete assigned routes efficiently.
- Deliver mail and parcels directly to customers’ locations, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs.
- Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during route driving.
- Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes and update delivery statuses in real-time.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing recipient questions professionally and courteously.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports as required.
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience with familiarity in route driving and customer interactions.
- Warehouse experience or background in material handling operations is preferred.
- Experience operating commercial trucks, box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other heavy equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and safe lifting practices is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to traffic regulations, DOT guidelines, and workplace safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle weight loads safely in various environments.
- Comfort using mobile devices for navigation and communication during deliveries.
