Kreilkamp Trucking is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to help lead the daily operations of our Carteret, New Jersey warehouse.
In this hands-on leadership position, you will supervise warehouse employees, coordinate receiving and shipping activities, maintain inventory accuracy, monitor performance metrics, and ensure customer requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate is an organized and approachable leader who can motivate employees, solve operational problems, and keep a fast-paced warehouse running safely and efficiently.
What Youll Do
- Supervise warehouse employees and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Provide employees with clear direction, coaching, training, and motivation.
- Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity and operational performance.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, inventory, and timely shipment of products and materials.
- Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments are scanned and documented correctly.
- Review receipts, bills, inventory records, and shipments for accuracy.
- Prioritize shipments and ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time.
- Investigate shipping, receiving, and inventory errors through root-cause analysis.
- Partner with shift leadership to provide retraining and address recurring performance concerns.
- Develop and maintain an effective cycle-counting program.
- Ensure operational metrics and customer service expectations are met or exceeded.
- Maintain required records, reports, and customer documentation.
- Coordinate warehouse equipment based on operational and customer requirements.
- Ensure employees complete required equipment and safety training before operating machinery.
- Monitor employee timekeeping, attendance, and meal-period punches.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, emergency, customer, and applicable Customs requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Were Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of warehouse leadership or management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse receiving, shipping, storage, and inventory operations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and hold employees accountable.
- Strong organizational, delegation, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze operational problems and implement practical solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse data-entry systems.
- Ability to work onsite in Carteret, New Jersey.
Preferred
- Associate or bachelors degree in business, management, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
- Experience working with warehouse productivity metrics, cycle counts, scanning systems, and customer-specific documentation.
- Experience supporting Customs-related warehouse requirements.
Compensation: $75,000$100,000 Annually
