Join LCA Vision Inc./Kismet [dba LasikPlus, LVI & TLC] – and help us transform the lives of our patients!

We are looking for additional team members to join our Garden City, NY vision center(s). We provide training, free employee LASIK, and offer a competitive salary [$18-$20/hr] to start depending on experience], as well as lucrative incentive plan(s), a 401k with a match, PTO, paid holidays, pet insurance, comprehensive medical benefits and ongoing professional development opportunities!

Primary Responsibilities

A Vision Health Technician is a valuable asset to our OD/MD’s as they assist in providing excellent patient care to the patients during their visit
This employee is able to handle a wide range of duties while using equipment to perform the initial testing needed.
Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via our internal virtual care systems)
Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
Practice urgency at all times with patient’s time, as well as doctor’s time and schedule
Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
Verify patient information by interviewing patient
Recording medical history, current medications and confirming purpose of visit
Records all data in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Required skills include: dilation, refraction, pressures, and performing a variety of diagnostic tests
Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy
General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit
