About the Role

The QC Technician is responsible for monitoring product quality and food safety throughout the production process. This position performs inspections, verifies adherence to customer specifications, completes quality documentation, and supports compliance with food safety programs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Verify compliance with customer specifications and company quality standards.
Conduct product evaluations including appearance, weight, size, temperature, and packaging integrity.
Monitor production activities for compliance with GMPs and food safety requirements.
Complete quality records, temperature logs, sanitation records, and production documentation.
Identify and communicate quality concerns in a timely manner.
Assist with product hold and release activities.
Support traceability exercises and mock recalls.
Verify proper labeling and coding requirements.
Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in Food Science, Biology, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
1+ year of quality, food safety, manufacturing, or produce experience preferred.
Basic understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety principles.
Ability to work flexible schedules as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Ability to work in refrigerated production environments, stand and walk for extended periods, and wear required personal protective equipment. Occasional lifting, bending, and reaching may be required.
