Position Overview
Lonestar Finance Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Virtual F&I Manager to support independent dealerships through remote finance and insurance operations.
The Virtual F&I Manager will manage transactions from credit application through contracting and funding. This includes coordinating with dealership-approved lending partners, communicating with customers, presenting optional protection products, preparing digital documentation, and ensuring completed funding packages are accurate and submitted promptly.
The ideal candidate has dealership finance experience, communicates confidently with customers and business partners, and can manage multiple active transactions with professionalism, accuracy, and urgency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer credit applications submitted through dealership websites and internal dealer workflows.
- Review application information and supporting documents, including retail invoices, dealer invoices, manufacturers’ statements of origin, titles, identification documents, and other required materials.
- Assist dealership partners with submitting applications to appropriate approved lending partners based on customer qualifications and lender program guidelines.
- Communicate with customers regarding application status, approval terms, required documentation, contracting requirements, and next steps.
- Present approved optional F&I products clearly and professionally, including vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage where applicable, tire and wheel protection, GPS or asset protection, and other dealership-approved products.
- Prepare and coordinate digital contracts, retail installment documents, bills of sale, product agreements, lender forms, and other required dealership documentation.
- Guide customers through remote signing and ensure all required documents are completed accurately.
- Maintain current and accurate deal statuses within shared workflow systems, CRM platforms, and lender portals.
- Coordinate with dealership personnel to obtain all required documents before submitting transactions for funding.
- Assemble and submit complete funding packages to lending partners.
- Follow up on pending funding conditions, document requests, and lender requirements until each transaction is funded.
- Provide dealership partners with timely updates regarding approvals, contracts, outstanding documents, funding status, and completed transactions.
- Maintain organized transaction records and upload completed documents to the appropriate dealership workflow system.
- Ensure customer interactions and transaction processes remain professional, compliant, and consistent with Lonestar Finance Group and dealership standards.
- Assist with onboarding new dealership partners by training their teams on application handoffs, required documentation, and transaction workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in dealership F&I, automotive finance, powersports finance, RV finance, equipment finance, or a related consumer or commercial lending role.
- Strong understanding of credit applications, lender approvals, funding packages, retail installment contracts, and optional protection products.
- Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with customers, dealership personnel, lenders, and internal team members.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple active transactions simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with digital contracting platforms, electronic signature tools, CRM systems, workflow boards, lender portals, and remote communication systems.
- Ability to explain financing terms and protection products clearly without creating pressure or confusion.
- Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong follow-up skills and a commitment to completing transactions accurately and efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an F&I Manager at an automotive, RV, powersports, equipment, or trailer dealership.
- Experience with equipment, trailer, RV, powersports, or automotive financing.
- Experience with remote contracting, digital menu presentations, electronic signatures, and funding package submissions.
- Knowledge of backend products such as vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, tire and wheel protection, and GPS or asset protection.
- Experience working with multiple lenders and managing lender-specific documentation and funding requirements.
Compensation
Compensation may include a base salary, commission, or hybrid performance-based structure depending on the candidate’s experience and production history.
