Position Summary:
We are seeking a self-motivated experienced CAD Designer and Technician to join our Transportation team in Oklahoma City.
This position will assist project engineers with preparation of engineering plans for DOT, Turnpike, municipal and county transportation projects. This designer will directly support the Transportation group and will be a critical team member for many of our transportation projects. The successful candidate will also provide support for the design, production and coordination of construction plans and drawings for projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides highway and roadway design solutions
- Interprets complex ordinances and specifications
- Analyzes design requirements
- Reviews designs to ensure compliance with engineers and project requirements
- Complies with the company established standards, conventions, procedures, and applicable engineering codes/practices
- Prioritizes multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment
- Coordinates with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines as needed
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years in depth knowledge of MicroStation inroads, OpenRoad, Geopak and AutoCAD Civil 3D in support of civil/transportation engineering
- Proficiency with Microsoft office
- Proven Proficient technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with all levels of professionals
- Demonstrate a positive outlook and a desire to learn and work with others
- Ability to management time effectively
- Ability to build strong professional cross-functional relationships
- Honest, Ethical, trustworthy and dependable
