Actalent Services LLC is building a dedicated data center growth vertical and is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to support expansion of our existing engineering and project service capabilities into the specialized, high-growth, mission-critical facility market.
This role is focused on developing long-term client partnerships throughout the data center ecosystem and leveraging our existing engineering services (i.e. facility/MEP design, pant/facility optimization, pre-construction, construction management, industrial automation, systems&software engineering, transmission/power distribution engineering) specifically to support projects in the design-build and operations phases in support of data center industry growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies tailored to the data center engineering services market, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Build and expand relationships with key decision-makers across hyperscale, engineering OEMs, AEC firms, utilities providers, and data center operators (as best aligned to existing networks)
- Engage clients early in the design and planning phases to influence project strategy and capture long-term programs
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments including technical, procurement, and executive-level stakeholders
- Partner with internal engineering teams to align services with client needs in power, cooling, and infrastructure design
- Drive new logo acquisition while expanding existing strategic accounts
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of sales experience offering engineering or project services to clients in the data center / mission critical facilities industry
- Proven experience in business development management within the data center engineering or related technology sectors, with a strong track record of deal closing and client base expansion.
- Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce Cloud and other CRM systems for prospecting, pipeline management, and relationship tracking.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise selling, negotiation, and strategic planning to secure high-value contracts.
- Strong knowledge of salesforce automation tools like Salesforce Cloud, along with Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and presentations.
- Experience working collaboratively across teams including marketing, technical staff, and senior leadership to achieve shared objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivering results under tight deadlines.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
