Full Job Description

FIDES is seeking an experienced Contract Negotiator with a focus on Business & Financial to support a leading health system client in the Mid-Atlantic region. This consulting role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in financial and business negotiations related to IT acquisitions. The ideal candidate will operate from a business perspective, collaborating with technical and procurement teams to structure, negotiate, and finalize IT-related contracts that align with enterprise priorities. This is a 6-month contract engagement with an opportunity for extension.

Responsibilities

Lead business and financial negotiations for IT acquisitions, focusing on value optimization and contractual risk mitigation.
Partner with stakeholders across procurement, finance, and IT to evaluate and negotiate contract terms and pricing.
Review and revise statements of work (SOWs), vendor proposals, and financial models.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives and vendor management efforts to align with organizational goals.
Analyze contract performance, benchmarking, and financial impact assessments to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
7+ years of experience in business/financial negotiation, ideally in the context of IT services/software/hardware acquisitions in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrated ability to lead contract negotiations from a business perspective in complex healthcare or enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor engagement, and SOW development.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This is a remote role with an opportunity to be onsite to meet the team.
Contract-to-hire opportunity, with strong potential for long-term engagement based on performance.
