We are looking for a customer-oriented customer service representative. This position serves as a liaison for customers by providing product and service information, assisting with account needs, and resolving customer concerns accurately and efficiently. The role requires the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential for success. This position also provides support to the teller line. The goal of this role is to deliver excellent service, respond promptly to customer inquiries, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Open all account types, including personal and business checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and IRAs.
- Identify and assess customer needs and introduce appropriate new and existing products and services.
- Assist customers with online and mobile banking questions.
- Assist customers with teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments, accurately and efficiently.
- Perform account services, including assisting customers with loan and deposit balances, transaction inquiries, cashier’s check purchases, coin deposits, check orders, safe deposit box access, and other services in accordance with bank policy and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by conducting business in a professional and friendly manner while building long-term customer relationships.
- Manage and assist with incoming customer calls.
- Resolve customer concerns by providing relevant information, appropriate solutions, and alternatives.
- Identify potential fraudulent transactions or activity to help prevent loss.
- Assist with document scanning and retention.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of applicable banking rules, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality of customer information both inside and outside the bank.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills
- Cash handling experience.
- Customer service experience, including strong phone communication skills and active listening.
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer programs.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally in a team environment.
