Full Job Description

Precision Machinist – Surface Grinding

Near Nashville, TN | $20–$25/hr + OT

Join a leading precision shop specializing in machining and surface grinding. At Moeller Precision Tool, you’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled environment producing high-quality tooling components using modern equipment—including surface grinders, CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual machines, and EDM wire technology.

Pay & Benefits

$20.00 – $25.00/hr (based on experience)
Overtime paid at 1.5× after 40 hours

What You’ll Do

Perform surface grinding setups (manual grinding, fixturing, blocks)
Execute precision machining of tool steel components
Read blueprints and machine to tight tolerances
Inspect parts to meet quality standards
Work across machining and surface grinding operations

What You Need

Experience in machining (manual or CNC)
Hands-on surface grinding experience preferred
Background in tool steel machining strongly preferred
Blueprint reading skills
Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
High school diploma or GED

*Preferred*: Tool steel and Surface Grinding experience.

Schedule

Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30/5:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
45–50 hours/week (OT Required)
Occasional Saturdays

Location:

Just 15 minutes from Nashville with easy highway access, nearby restaurants, and housing options.
