About the position:
We are looking for an experienced Move Lead that we can assign to our VIP clients. This person is passionate about helping people move their belongings and takes pride in ensuring we never break anything, finish within the quoted time frame, and create a fun, safe working environment. As a Move Lead you are responsible for piloting your team in the direction of success. Training and mentoring new movers is a must. You are the face of the company as you represent yourself, your crew, and our company in a professional manner to our clients while on the job. Our success starts with you! You will be fully immersed in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment where you get to be exposed to different types of professional work such as: Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service, Conflict Resolution, and Communication. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate each job carefully, you are the leader!
- Go out of your way to be friendly (smile, eye contact, small-talk) to everyone whom you come in contact with throughout the day – especially your clients.
- Look, act like, and be a friendly HUNK – starting with the uniform (shirt tucked in, hat straight, pants at the waist), and continuing with your attitude and service (smiles and eye contact).
- SAFELY operate at all times. This goes for while you are driving, and while you are completing each job!
- Make sure your truck inspections are performed (equipment, gas, cleanliness, etc).
- Be able to make logistical decisions (how to best complete a job, how to package items and load a truck, how to market during downtime).
- Lead your team by example, showing them what the core values of the company are all about.
- Mentor and train new hires on day to day operations and how to live out our core values.
- Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unhappy clients, lost equipment, etc.
- Check-in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance.
Pay:
- Move leads have uncapped earning potential. Starting hourly wage is $20/hr. With tips and bonuses you could earn up to $30/hr.
- Captains make bonus/commission on the following:
-Materials they sell on the job (tape, shrinkwrap, bubblewrap, boxes, etc.)
-"Junk on Move" (hauling away unwanted items at the time of a move)
-Valuations (item coverage above the state minimum)
-Driver bonuses for driving safely.
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum 4 years moving experience with a licensed company and completed over 1,000 moves.
- Must know how to properly wrap furniture with tape or bands
- Must know how to safely move large items - grand pianos, safes, etc.
- Must know how to fit 1600 cubes into a 26' box truck
- Must be able to lift 75lbs solo and over 100lbs with a team (physically fit)
- Reliable transportation to and from work (your own vehicle)
- Valid Texas Driver's License a MUST
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Drug and alcohol-free (we do random testing)
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
