Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints/inspection and examine to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Troubleshoot and repair of suspension, driveline, steering components, brake system – air and hydraulic, engine repair, and electrical.
Install injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other parts.
Document all work performed and recommended repair orders.
Conduct road test to ensure vehicle as needed.
Adherence to all company and industry safety standards.
Ability to organize the work presented and plan for the highest efficiency and productivity in the performance of all job functions.
Continual training and development in support of individual career and company goals.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical certification on vehicle repairs.
5+ years of experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
Training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications.
Ability to work with diagnostics computer for troubleshooting and repairs.
Must have your own toolset to perform assigned responsibilities.
Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Technical Skills & Experience:

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
Experience with diagnostics computer for troubleshooting and repairs.
ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications.
OEM training courses.
Ability to work with complex technical information.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Previous experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
Experience with repair orders and documentation.

Must have their own tools

Pay: $60,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
