Title I Tutor / Interventionist (LAUSD)
Position Summary
FACTS Educational Services (FACTS Ed) is seeking dedicated Title I Tutors/Interventionists to provide supplemental reading and/or math instruction to eligible Title I students attending participating private schools within Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). This role focuses on delivering targeted, data-driven interventions that help students improve academic achievement while working collaboratively with school staff and maintaining compliance with LAUSD and federal Title I requirements.
FACTS, a division of Nelnet, partners with more than 11,500 K-12 schools nationwide to provide innovative educational technology and instructional services that help students succeed.
All FACTS Ed associates are required to complete a minimum of five (5) hours of paid pre-service training before providing services. Training includes live virtual sessions and self-paced online learning modules.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction in reading and/or mathematics.
- Deliver targeted interventions based on student assessment data.
- Develop lesson plans and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate attendance, lesson plans, and required documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and FACTS Ed staff.
- Participate in required training and professional development.
- Follow all LAUSD, Title I, and FACTS Educational Services policies and maintain student confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least two year (minimum ) of teaching, tutoring, or academic intervention experience.
- Experience working with K–12 students.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- California Teaching Credential
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing Title I or academic intervention services.
- Knowledge of MTSS, RTI, and data-driven instruction.
- Experience using student assessment data to guide instruction.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
