Job description:

Mobile Cell Phone Repair Specialist – uBreakiFix / Asurion

Schedule: 4-5 Days per Week, 10AM–7PM/7AM-5PM/12PM-9PM

About the Role

This is a mobile repair specialist position, where you’ll travel to customer locations in a fully equipped corporate repair vehicle to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair devices on-site. You’ll deliver top-notch customer service while ensuring repairs meet or exceed company standards. This role also includes opportunities to earn commission by offering customers extensions of their existing phone insurance policies.

Compensation & Training

Pay: From $16.00/hr with commission and bonus opportunities
Training: Paid training provided at our Austin, TX location (no prior experience necessary)
Benefits: Competitive pay, commission/bonus structure tied to performance indicators such as punctuality and customer satisfaction

Tasks & Responsibilities

Safely travel to customer sites and arrive on time
Communicate job status updates (en route, arrived, completed, etc.)
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair devices using provided tools and parts
Clearly explain technical issues in simple, customer-friendly terms
Provide repair/replacement estimates and recommendations
Ensure repairs meet or exceed quality standards
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
Track inventory and safeguard van stock
Keep repair vehicle clean and organized

Basic Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with clean DMV report
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience repairing smartphones, electronics, or computers
Experience in retail electronics or customer-facing tech roles
