Full Job Description

Cook III

Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents.

We are seeking to fill the position of Cook III for WEEKENDS ONLY.

Hourly Pay rate range = $19.10 to $20.94 per hour.
WEEKENDS SCHEDULE.

Cook Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.
A least 3 years experience in high volume food preparation setting.
Certification in food safety required.
Experience in Long-Term Care food service preferred.

Cook Job Summary:

Prepare and serve all meals, including salads and desserts, for therapeutic diets according to planned menus.
Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders.
Serve meals using proper portions and special diet items.
Prepare food for special occasions or special resident needs as necessary.
Maintain equipment and food storage areas in sanitary and orderly condition.
