Payment Processing Specialist

What You’ll Do:

Accurately post daily customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including short payments, unapplied credits, and unidentified funds.
Communicate with customers to clarify payment details, resolve account questions, and provide invoice or balance information.
Maintain thorough and accurate records of payment activity for audits and reporting.
Process account adjustments such as write-offs, credit memos, and balance corrections in alignment with company policies.
Collaborate with the Credit team to support account reviews, credit holds, and dispute resolutions.
Assist with administrative functions including filing, mail distribution, and occasional front desk coverage.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, credit policies, and financial procedures.

What You Bring:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze customer account reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work accurately within deadlines.
Prior credit or payment processing experience preferred.
Familiarity with the tire industry is a plus.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in stressful or time-sensitive situations.
Ability to work constructively with all levels of the organization.
Strong written communication skills for clear and accurate report preparation.
