We have an opening for a field service technician/installer to work on installation, testing and service of in-building wireless signal booster systems for public safety applications.
Training is provided, however, previous experience or formal training in the related field is required.
Your responsibilities will include: Delivery, installation and testing of wireless signal boosters and associated equipment, terminating RF coaxial cables, installation of small in-building antennas, making wiring connections, performing signal strength surveys, installation planning, testing and certifications of the installed equipment.You will be working closely with and providing the support to our electrical contractors who install the cable and mount and power up the equipment.
Requirements:
- Must take pride in her/his work, must be dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction
- Proficiency in using hand tools and test equipment used in the electrical trade such as power supplies and multimeters is desired but not required. Training is provided.
- Basic understanding of RF / Wireless / Electrical theory desired
- Must have a clean driving record for a minimum of three years
- Ability to lift up to 50', climb ladders and to stand/walk during the workday
- High attention to detail with the ability to effectively discuss and document technical issues
- Ability to strictly follow procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to read building floor plans and wiring diagrams.
- Must be highly dependable and able to work flexible hours with early morning starts and overtime work when required.
- Must be well organized with the ability to maintain a clean service vehicle and work areas
- Must have good communications skills and works well with others
- Must be solution-oriented with a positive can-do work attitude
RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- The candidate shall have relevant previous experience in a related field such as: Two-way Radio Communications, Electrical Work, Building Wiring, Fire Alarm Service and Installation, Telecommunications Technician, Cellular DAS systems or Building Security and Automation.
