Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor to join our growing team. This hybrid role involves leading engaging group fitness classes (e.g., strength training, yoga, mobility, HIIT, Pilates) while also working one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their personal goals.
The right candidate thrives in dynamic environments, communicates with authenticity, and understands that true fitness extends beyond the body into the mind and lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Group Fitness Instruction
- Lead safe, effective, and motivating classes (strength, mobility, yoga, Pilates, HIIT, etc.) for diverse populations.
- Adapt workouts for varying fitness levels and abilities.
- Create a fun, inclusive, and community-driven environment.
- Personal Training
- Deliver personalized 1-on-1 or small-group training programs.
- Utilize tools such as Everfit or MyPTHub to track client progress and accountability.
- Provide basic nutrition guidance, recovery strategies, and lifestyle coaching.
- Community Engagement
- Act as an ambassador for The Movement at events and wellness programs.
- Build relationships with residents, property managers, and corporate staff.
- Support marketing and recruitment efforts by connecting with prospects during events.
- Professional Development
- Participate in team training on holistic coaching methods (Body, Mind, Flow).
- Contribute ideas to improve programs and client experiences.
Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent) – required.
- Group Fitness Certification or prior experience leading group classes – strongly preferred.
- CPR/AED certification – required.
- Experience in one or more specialties (yoga, Pilates, functional training, mobility, strength & conditioning) – preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and create a positive fitness culture.
- Professionalism, reliability, and flexibility to adapt in various environments.

Compensation
- Group Fitness Classes: $40–$60 per class (based on experience and attendance).
- Personal Training: Commission-based (30–60% depending on program and client load).
- Additional incentives for client conversions, community engagement, and retention.
