Robinson+Cole LLP, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a full-time, highly skilled Business Center Specialist to join our Business Center team. This position is fully remote with a regular work schedule of 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Business Center Specialist provides advanced document production, formatting, presentations, spreadsheets, PDFs, and administrative support to attorneys, legal professionals, and staff. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro or comparable PDF software, and document-management systems.

Responsibilities include creating, editing, formatting, troubleshooting, converting, and finalizing complex legal and business documents; preparing Excel workbooks, reports, trackers, charts, and Pivot Tables; creating and revising PowerPoint presentations; editing and organizing PDFs; performing PDF-to-Word conversion cleanup; redlining documents; creating mail merges; assisting with time entry and expense reimbursement; and supporting special projects as assigned.

Candidates should have advanced Microsoft Word skills, including styles, section breaks, headers/footers, tables, track changes, comments, mail merge, multilevel numbering, and document comparison. Strong Excel skills should include formatting, formulas/functions, conditional formatting, data validation, lookup functions, Pivot Tables and charts. Strong PowerPoint skills should include working with the Slide Master, layouts, presentation cleanup, charts, tables, graphics, animations, transitions, and PDF export.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong proofreading and quality-control skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment while managing competing deadlines.

Experience in a law firm, legal word-processing center, business center, professional services firm, or corporate legal department is preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.

Candidates selected for interviews may be asked to complete practical Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills assessments.
