Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring their safety and comfort. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and proper infection control practices
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer residents or patients with mobility challenges
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility protocols
Qualifications
- Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s disease), or memory care needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively with residents who have complex medical conditions or disabilities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and supporting residents’ social well-being

Pay: $22.39 - $26.96 per hour
