Since 1987, Buffalo Tungsten has been a leading independent manufacturer and global supplier of high purity tungsten powder. We have a strong commitment to quality assurance, competitive pricing, and short lead times. Because of our rigorous quality assurance system, the powders we produce meet the highest standards of purity and consistency. We have over three decades of experience and maintain a sole focus on producing powdered tungsten materials through a hydrogen reduction process. We have supplied customers in over 40 countries throughout the world. In addition to pure tungsten powder, we also produce tungsten carbide powder and tungsten carbide based thermal spray powders. Buffalo Tungsten was acquired in 2023 by the Sandvik group and organizationally belongs to the Powder Solutions division within the business area Sandvik Machining. Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday Every Other Saturday, 7pm – 7am.

Starting Pay: $19.50 – 24.50 based on experience. Shift Differential $1.00/hour

About the role:

Buffalo Tungsten is seeking a Production Operator to support our powder production business. As a Production Operator, you will operate production furnaces, work in the spray room and conduct activities related to the manufacturing process such as operating machinery, keeping accurate records, operating a forklift, complete work orders and packing materials for shipment. Complete other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

This role will be based at our site in Buffalo (Depew), New York.

Your Background & Profile:

Have a Safety-First Culture
Ability to work as an individual and a team
Be at work for your assigned shift
Be able to stand or walk most of the day
Regularly lift and handle up to 20 pounds throughout your shift
Able to lift up to 60 pounds periodically over short distances
Can follow procedures and maintain accurate records
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields is beneficial
