Summary of the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated, and data-driven System Analyst to support business performance through data analysis, systems analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional project execution. The ideal candidate will collect, validate, and analyze data; document business requirements and system workflows; support operational reporting; and partner with business, IT, vendor, and PMO teams to translate business needs into practical technology-enabled solutions.
This role requires the ability to work across enterprise applications, databases, integrations, reporting platforms, and operational workflows. The Systems Analyst will help identify automation opportunities, support issue investigation and user acceptance testing, and contribute to production readiness for system changes, releases, migrations, and process improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities

Collect, validate, and process data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency.

Develop and maintain operational and monitoring dashboards, reports, and KPI analyses.

Write, interpret, or validate SQL queries to support research, reporting, data quality review, and troubleshooting activities.

Analyze business processes, current-state and future-state workflows, system handoffs, data flows, business rules, and integration points.

Gather requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, operational reviews, and cross-functional working sessions.

Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, process flows, data mapping, test plans, UAT scripts, operational runbooks, and stakeholder updates.

Identify opportunities to automate or improve manual processes, reporting workflows, scheduled jobs, alerting paths, messaging processes, escalations, and exception handling.

Support enterprise application and production issue analysis across databases, APIs, integrations, workflows, and user-facing processes.

Perform variance analysis, exploratory data analysis, and trend identification to provide data-driven recommendations for decision-making.

Support data governance efforts by promoting data consistency, compliance, appropriate access, privacy awareness, and secure handling of business information.

Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, database, vendor, PMO, operations, and business teams to resolve issues and deliver project outcomes.

Support testing, release validation, cutover planning, rollback planning, production readiness, and post-implementation stabilization activities.

Prepare concise meeting summaries, action-item tracking, project status updates, risk/issue logs, and executive-ready reporting as needed.

Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or SSRS to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Job Requirements and Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

4+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, analytics, finance, operations, application support, or a related technology/business role preferred.

Experience with SQL and relational database concepts; SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) experience preferred.

Understanding of database structures, tables, views, stored procedures, scheduled jobs, data relationships, permissions, backups, and operational dependencies preferred.

Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or similar reporting and visualization tools preferred.

Understanding of ETL concepts, data governance best practices, data quality review, and field-level data mapping.

Ability to document business requirements, functional specifications, workflow diagrams, process flows, UAT scripts, support procedures, and operational runbooks.

Experience supporting enterprise applications, incident/request/change processes, root-cause documentation, release validation, upgrades, migrations, and production stability initiatives.

Familiarity with API-based integrations, REST concepts, JSON/XML structures, webhook concepts, authentication methods, and communication workflow analysis preferred.

Exposure to workflow automation, scheduled jobs, notifications, escalations, message delivery, exception handling, and system monitoring concepts preferred.

Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planner, Jira, or similar.

Familiarity with monitoring center operations, security/monitoring platforms, or alarm/event lifecycle processes is a plus.

Awareness of AI-assisted knowledge retrieval, intelligent automation, chatbot concepts, natural language search, and human-in-the-loop validation is a plus.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
