Full Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team as a live-in caregiver supporting a 22-year-old young adult with special needs.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact outside of a traditional school or agency setting. You’ll help support independence, daily living skills, and community involvement — all within a structured, supportive home environment.

This position includes private housing (a 1,200 sq. ft. apartment) and a six-day work week with flexibility for personal downtime during the day.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support for a young adult with developmental challenges.
Implement and monitor a customized care and behavioral support plan.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, light housekeeping, and meal prep.
Encourage participation in community and recreational activities.
Track progress and report behavioral or health updates.
Offer companionship and emotional support in a safe, positive environment.

Qualifications

Required:

Professional appearance and adherence to dress code
Exceptional respect for privacy and confidentiality
Ability to maintain a clean and organized living environment
Strong personal boundaries and professional judgment
Emotional maturity and reliability in a live-in setting
Compassion, patience, and dedication to working with individuals with special needs.
Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Experience in special needs care or ABA therapy.
Professional references and background check required.

Preferred:

RBT or BCBA certification.
Education or experience in psychology, special education, or related field.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $50,000.00 per year
Two weeks paid vacation
Private 1,200 sq. ft. apartment included
Free time during the day for personal activities

Schedule

Full-time, live-in (6 days per week)
Daytime flexibility for personal time
