Job Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Licensed Plumber to join our team at Spencer Home Services. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including water heaters, fixtures, piping, and drainage systems for residential and light commercial projects.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and low water pressure, using modern tools and diagnostic equipment to provide effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts plumbing codes (248 CMR), safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians, electricians, and drain technicians on multi-service projects, such as bathroom installations or boiler retrofits.
- Use ServiceTitan for job scheduling, invoicing, and customer communication (training provided if needed).
- Deliver exceptional customer service, clearly explaining technical details to clients and upholding our 5-star reputation.
- Maintain a clean, organized work truck and manage inventory of tools and supplies, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.
- Maintain a professional appearance (uniforms provided) and a safe, clean work site, adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development, including certifications and weekly in-house or vendor-sponsored training, to stay current with plumbing technologies.
- Contribute to our culture of innovation by sharing ideas to improve processes or enhance client experiences.
Qualifications
- Required: Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License (Master Plumber License a plus) in good standing and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in residential plumbing preferred; motivated individuals with less experience may be considered with a commitment to training.
- Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting plumbing systems, installing fixtures, and working with piping materials (e.g., copper, PEX, PVC). Knowledge of Massachusetts plumbing codes (248 CMR) and safety standards.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar CRM software preferred; willingness to learn our online booking system required.
- Soft Skills: Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills. Commitment to our core values of shared success, pride in work, and ethical practices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, bend, and perform tasks in varying conditions.
- Other: Ability to pass a background check and commute or relocate to Peabody, MA 01960 before starting work.
