Job Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin, in-office
Position: Full-Time, 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday. (Possibility for Part-Time, 9am to 3pm Monday-Friday)

Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. We help people plan for their future financial health, leading to retirement and beyond. Assist financial advisor and associate financial advisor in managing and organizing office workflow with an emphasis on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when interacting with clients, team members, colleagues and corporate partners.
Our Team: Our practice is led by two full-time financial advisors (one is the franchise owner with 26 years’ experience in the practice, the other an equity interest holder with practice for over 10 years). Other team members include: full-time client service coordinator & marketing specialist, virtual/remote assistant, and our receptionist works with us and two other practices in our suite. We serve ~300 households across 25 states, desire to stay small by design, but grow with our next best-fit teammate and strategically serving more clients matched with our services and expertise.
Your Role: Growth Track to achieve in 3 – 9 months (timing depends on experience and licenses) include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Entering and maintaining client data in the comprehensive financial planning software.
- Running investment reports and other client meeting documents, including agendas and forms.
- Placing trades in the market and other client account related activities.
- Following up with the corporate office on client-related issues.
- Plan and prioritize own work schedule
- Use to-do lists, calendars, computer software or other work/time management systems
- Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the Financial Advisors
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements
Administrative Systems to tour during early weeks of training to learn all functions of the practice:
- Client Relationship Manager Tool (SalesForce) client data management & Client Onboarding
- Electronic forms and following up with client/home office on new business
- Closing client file out after meetings through post-meeting follow-up system
- Various automated/manual marketing procedures (email, websites, and event planning, as applicable)
Other details:
- This is not a sales-oriented role, though will be client-facing in certain aspects.
- Furthermore, if desired, there is an advancement opportunity for a future Growth Track towards becoming an Associate Financial Advisor on our team. A different, non-Advising role could be an alternate area for promotion in the realm of Office Management.
Required Qualifications Qualified candidate will exhibit the following characteristics:
- 4-year college degree or minimum 3 years financial planning industry experience.
- Active Series 7 and Series 66 licenses highly preferred. Possibility of sponsoring the licensing process for the right candidate within 6 – 9 months of hire.
- Able to use MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Adobe, contact management systems, database software and other software tools as necessary. MoneyGuide Pro, Wealth Studios, Holistiplan and other software experience a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Direct attention to detail and organization.
- Effective and efficient time management.
- Basic knowledge of financial services products and strong desire to learn the financial planning and investment management process.
Salary Range Starting compensation of $60,000 - $77,000 annually, depending on experience. Full benefits available. Sign-on bonus offer will be shared in second interview.
