What You’ll Do
The Marketing & Business Development Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the firm's marketing and business development activities. This individual will work closely with firm leadership and technical staff to identify opportunities, build client relationships, manage proposals and qualifications, enhance the firm's brand, and support long-term growth objectives.
The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who understands the A/E/C industry, enjoys building relationships, and possesses strong communication, organizational, and business development skills.
Proposals & Pursuits
- Manage qualifications packages, proposals, presentations, interviews, and other pursuit-related activities.
- Coordinate proposal schedules, deadlines, compliance requirements, and technical content with project teams.
- Maintain proposal templates, resumes, project descriptions, and marketing resources.
Marketing & Communications
- Support website updates, social media, and development of marketing collateral.
- Maintain marketing databases, project photography, project sheets, and promotional materials.
- Help ensure consistent branding across marketing and business development materials.
Business Development
- Build relationships with clients, architects, contractors, developers, and industry partners.
- Attend networking events, client meetings, and industry organizations including SMPS.
- Research prospective clients, projects, and upcoming opportunities.
- Track business development activities and maintain CRM records.
- Partner with Principals to support client outreach, pursuit planning, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of marketing, proposal coordination, and/or business development field, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (A/E/C) industry.
- Experience supporting proposals, marketing initiatives, client relationships, or business development activities.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, website content management, and social media platforms is preferred.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM software is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is between $60,000 and $85,000 depending on experience.
