Position Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare metal parts for welding, painting, and installation.
· Set up welding equipment to maximize safety, quality, function, and efficiency.
· Machine parts and verify conformance to production requirements.
· Fabricate, weld, and fit structural steel frames and components inside shipping containers in accordance with drawings and project requirements.
· Install system components, including door frames, Unistrut, pipe flanges, and related parts.
· Review blueprints and schematics to confirm measurements, weld sizes, and weld lengths.
· Inspect and clean welded components to ensure they meet Water Tectonics, Inc. quality standards and specifications.
· Receive and apply feedback from engineering team members and coworkers.
· Manage welding supplies and notify Purchasing of supply needs.
· Maintain a safe, clean work environment, including tools, equipment, supplies, storage, and office areas, in compliance with safety regulations.

· General fabrication skills, including use of grinders, tape measures, and fabrication techniques.
· Ability to accurately use measuring tools
· Familiarity with power tools and safe operating practices.
· Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Working knowledge of the trade and related job duties.
Required and Preferred Experience
· Ability to pass an in-house weld test required.
· 1–2 years of welding, fabrication, manufacturing, trade school, or related hands-on experience preferred.
· Experience with MIG/GMAW, grinding, measuring, fitting, cutting, and layout preferred.
· Ability to read basic blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols preferred.
· Forklift, overhead crane, rigging, OSHA 10, or hot work/fire watch training preferred.
· AWS, WABO, trade school certificate, or similar training/certification preferred.
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Technical school, trade school, apprenticeship, or related welding/fabrication training preferred.
Environmental/Physical Demands
· Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, pull, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods, up to the full workday.
· Work is primarily performed indoors in a fast-paced manufacturing and welding environment.
· Occasional outdoor work and job site installations may be required in construction or industrial environments.
· Must wear required PPE
· Work environment may include loud noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures or conditions.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00/hour.
