SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for the tube vehicle upon initial separation from the tubes, through the restoration process and again when the tubes are reloaded to the vehicle.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

Retrieve parts, i.e., tie rods, endplates, etc., removed from the vehicle and paint as directed as per the work order.

Prep the units, i.e., tubes, endplates, chassis, frame, housing, parts for painting.

Mix paint as per manufacturer specifications using mixing equipment.

Perform trailer checkout as directed.

Abrasive blast chassis and/or parts to bare metal conditions.

Complete paperwork for each unit on which work has been performed.

Monitor painting operations to identify quality issues.

Pour paint according to work order/customer specifications.

Select paint according to work order/customer specifications.

Set up portable equipment such as ladders and other equipment as needed.

Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primer and top coatings.

Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and equipment.

Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.

Verify paint consistency using quality checks.

Ensure paint containers follow proper storage requirements for minimizing fumes.

Ensure respirators and other breathing apparatus are clean and maintained.

Communicate with fellow workers and supervisors regarding job irregularities as incurred.

Maintain safe working conditions by utilizing industry and company safety policies, i.e., wearing safety glasses and steel toe shoes.

Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

Previous experience in manufacturing or painting (2 years +) preferred but will train.
