This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Washington’s Employment Security Department (ESD) supports economic stability and equitable access to employment services across the state. Many individuals leaving incarceration face significant barriers to employment, including limited employer networks, stigma, and lack of access to second-chance hiring opportunities. Members in this position will serve to strengthen employer engagement, identifying second-chance employment opportunities, and provide employment pathway support to justice-impacted individuals. This role is ideal for someone interested in workforce development, employer engagement, reentry services, or public administration. The members will serve in WorkSource offices in Snohomish, Pierce, Benton/Franklin, Walla Walla, and Spokane Counties. Applicants will have an opportunity to express their preference for primary service site during the interview process. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in early August. Monthly stipend amount: $1,942.
Member Duties : The Re-entry Pathways Navigator will provide individualized and group-based employment pathway support to justice-impacted individuals. They will provide job readiness training (resume-building, job search techniques, interview preparation); help individuals navigate community-based resources; engage local employers in providing second-chance hiring opportunities.
