Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated FIRECRACKER to join our vibrant boutique inn as our to serve as the House Manager, Hospitality Host & Concierge for a luxury property overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This is a dynamic position in that we are looking for that special someone who not only exhibits true southern hospitality, but we are also seeking experience in the field of natural resources. The inspiration behind our Inn breeds storytelling galore, so we need someone who can sit around the firepit with our guests in captivating conversation. If you have worked for the National Park Service and specifically in an Interpretation assignment, giving lots of presentations and programs to park service visitors, you just may be the perfect fit!

As for the hospitality responsibilities, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming, seamless experience for our guests while managing daily operations. This dynamic position combines hospitality excellence with hands-on management, ensuring that every guest feels valued and at home. Living accommodations are provided, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the inn’s warm community environment. Bring your passion for guest service and hospitality to a role that’s energetic, rewarding, and full of opportunities to make a positive impact.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon checkin, providing exceptional customer service and personalized attention throughout their stay.
Oversee daily operations of the inn, including housekeeping coordination, maintenance requests, and supply management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Prepare and serve breakfast in accordance with hospitality standards.
Maintain guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Coordinate with staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality throughout the property.

Skills

Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within food service or hospitality environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
Previous hotel or guest services a plus, demonstrating an understanding of hospitality best practices
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on guest relations and service excellence
Knowledge of serving techniques, hosting etiquette, and hospitality standards to ensure superior guest experiences
Experience working for the National Park Service or other related agency a plus, as many guests will be looking to explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Ability to help our hiking connoisseur guests plan their hike? A plus plus.
Experience as a fly fishing guide? A plus plus plus.
