Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the financial health of our company. The ideal candidate is passionate about precision and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possesses a strong foundation in accounting software and financial concepts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while developing your professional skills.

Duties

Manage daily bookkeeping operations including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger transactions using software such as QuickBooks Online.
Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy across all financial records
Process payroll and handle related payroll tax filings with precision and timeliness
Reconcile balance sheets by verifying account balances through detailed ledger review and account reconciliation procedures
Maintain accounts payable and receivable functions by issuing invoices, tracking payments, and managing vendor relationships
Prepare financial reports including statements of income, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenses to support organizational financial planning efforts

Skills

Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online)
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting concepts
Proven ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
Proficiency in payroll processing, tax experience related to payroll taxes and filings
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks and excel.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively
