Full Job Description

Job Overview

· Contacts suppliers for price quote(s).

· Updates MRP to reflect current surcharge, unit price, and standard cost.

· Enters receiving data into electronic records system.

· Performs excel spreadsheet analysis as requested and independently updates.

· Audits required invoices for approval. Independently resolves invoicing discrepancies (unit cost, extended cost, total cost, current surcharge) by contacting vendor A.R. for correction or clarification. Ensures credit for invoice is received if earned. Takes earned discount when invoice is received and forwards invoice to A.P.

· Resolves receiving and invoicing discrepancies independently by communicating to vendor the discrepancies at time of receipt.

· Converts approved requisitions to purchase orders.

· Maintains sufficient office supplies. Independently inventories office supplies and creates a purchase order for supplies required by office and manufacturing personnel.

· Enters information into JDE to create and print purchase orders.

· Routes product that requires coating to the coating facility from the foundry. Receives and relieves same product from inventory.

· Creates purchase order for coating facility and provides support paperwork to communicate incoming shipment information to the coating facility.

· Ensures purchase orders are acknowledged by vendor. Reviews acknowledged purchase order for change in price or delivery.

· Contacts vendor if product needs to be expedited. Determines if delivery may be "moved out" if requested by vendor.

· Uploads purchase orders and acknowledgements into electronic records system.

· Sends updated drawings to suppliers and updates JDE as needed.

Utilizes Microsoft Excel, Word and JDE. Must have basic computer skills and the ability to expand computer knowledge as required with company provided training. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates must have the ability to work independently, have strong organizational skills and initiative while working with the group.
