Full Job Description

A well-established, specialty medical practice is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join its satellite office in Montgomery. This is more than a front desk role—it's an opportunity to become part of a compassionate, patient-centered team dedicated to providing exceptional care in a supportive healthcare environment.

Schedule

The approximate hours or the job are as follows:

Monday thru Thursday: 6:45AM - 3:30PM

Friday: CLOSED

What You’ll Do

Welcome patients and create a warm, supportive first impression
Check patients in/out and ensure a smooth front desk experience
Verify insurance benefits, deductibles, and co-payments accurately
Collect payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances
Schedule appointments with attention to detail and patient needs
Communicate patient calls/messages efficiently to the clinical team
Maintain accurate patient records through scanning and documentation

What We’re Looking For

Strong customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first mindset
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Professional, positive attitude when interacting with patients and team members
Prior medical office or customer service experience preferred

Job Duties include:

Greeting and checking patients in for their appointments
Accurately verifying insurance benefits, deductibles, and co-payments
Accurately collecting deductibles, co-payments, and past due patient balances
Must have excellent customer services skills and attitude when working with patients, staff, and clinicians
Must demonstrate compassionate and excellent customer service skills when scheduling and verifying appointments
Must accurately and efficiently communicate patient phone calls to the appropriate clinical team with a customer service attitude
Scanning and uploading of medical documents accurately into patient charts
