Full Job Description

Pay: $26-$30 per class

Overview

Train716 is a coach-led boutique strength and conditioning gym in Orchard Park, NY. 175+ members, Best of 716 winner, and an official HYROX Training Club. We run a 13-week macrocycle across mornings and evenings M–F plus weekend AMs.

We’re hiring a part-time Group Fitness Coach to run classes, coach members hard, and add to what we’ve built. This role is about coaching quality on the floor — knowing names, scaling on the fly, keeping standards high, and making every member feel like they belong.

The right person is confident in front of a group, sharp with movement, and bought into a real coaching culture — not just running a playlist.

Responsibilities

Coach group classes
Deliver workouts as programmed with appropriate regressions, progressions, and modifications
Run clean warmups, demo lifts well, and manage class flow and timing
Monitor form and give hands-on or verbal corrections to keep training safe
Know member names, track who’s working on what, and build real relationships on the floor
Communicate injuries, limitations, and coaching notes back to the team
Set up equipment before class, keep the space clean, leave it better than you found it
Show up on time, ready to coach, every shift
Represent Train716’s culture and standards — direct, no ego, gets after it

Requirements

CPT required (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent)
Current CPR/AED required
Previous experience coaching group fitness or personal training
Strong understanding of movement mechanics, anatomy, and coaching cues
Confident managing groups across varying fitness levels
Reliable, coachable, professional
Fits the culture — high standards, low ego

Nice to Haves

CSCS or comparable advanced cert
HYROX, CrossFit, or strength sport background
Olympic lifting comfort

Schedule

Part-time. Mix of AM and PM shifts available. Weekend AMs a plus. Personal Training opportunity

Compensation

Competitive, based on experience and certifications.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
