COFFEE TRAINING PROFESSIONAL (Level 1) | ARLINGTON, TEXAS | Full Time | On-Site

For more than 16 years, Texas Coffee School has helped aspiring coffee shop owners across the country build thriving independent businesses.

As part of our training team, you won't just teach coffee skills. You'll guide students from idea to launch and see their success unfold in the real world. Today, our alumni operate hundreds of coffee shops and mobile ventures that create jobs, strengthen local economies, and help shape the future of specialty coffee.

Few roles allow you to see the impact of your work so directly. There's nothing quite like watching someone open their own shop knowing you helped make it happen. As one of our Coffee Training Professionals, you are not removed from the result. You are part of it.

THE ROLE

This role teaches Texas Coffee School’s hands-on coffee training and business curriculum to aspiring coffee shop owners and their teams.

As part of our team of trainers, you will lead adult learners through barista skills, operational systems, and business fundamentals using professional equipment in a classroom environment. You will also support day-to-day operations, student experience, and occasional consulting or curriculum projects.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position based at our Arlington, TX facility.

Strong public speaking and confident communication with adult learners are essential. Recent specialty coffee industry experience is required.

TRAINING AND GROWTH

You don't need to be a coffee business expert on day one. Our internal training system is structured, intensive, and built to develop the right person quickly. You'll be learning fast, practicing often, and receiving consistent feedback and coaching along the way.

This role offers a clear path for growth within our company. The right candidate will be challenged, supported, and given increasing responsibility and compensation as they prove they can perform at a high level.

SCHEDULE

Our work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday. We rarely exceed 40 hours per week. We highly value quality of life and offer a unique schedule that allows our training team to complete most responsibilities across three immersive class days, with two shorter and lighter prep days to start the workweek.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete Texas Coffee School’s internal training program
Teach hands-on barista training and coffee business curriculum
Lead adult classroom sessions with confidence and clarity
Deliver a consistently high-quality student experience
Support consulting projects and curriculum improvements
Prepare, maintain, and reset the training facility for each class
Manage prospective and former student inquiries by phone and email
Collaborate with leadership on new programs and resources
Stay current on specialty coffee standards and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 Years of recent experience in the specialty coffee industry
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Confident communicator with groups of adults
Coachable and receptive to feedback
High standards with strong follow-through
Comfortable taking responsibility and initiative
Available to work Tuesday through Saturday
Comfortable using Mac computers and common desktop software

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, speaking for extended periods, walking, typing, reaching, and hands-on demonstrations. Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
