Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper to join our team. The primary focus of this role is managing the full cycle of accounts receivable, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and precise data entry. The ideal candidate possesses strong proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills to streamline financial tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

Invoicing management: Generate and distribute accurate client invoices promptly.
Payment processing: Receive, verify, and post customer payments via ACH, checks, credit cards, and wire transfers into QuickBooks.
Collections outreach: Monitor aging reports, identify overdue accounts, and conduct professional collection outreach via phone and email.
Account reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers daily to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Excel reporting: Utilize Excel to build data models, track discrepancies, maintain customer matrices, and generate weekly AR aging summaries for management.
Dispute resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, client inquiries, or short-payments.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of dedicated bookkeeping experience, with a heavy emphasis on accounts receivable operations.
QuickBooks proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), specifically using invoicing, payment posting, and AR reporting features.
Excel expertise: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the comfortable use of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, and data sorting.
Attention to detail: Exceptional data entry accuracy and the ability to spot mathematical errors or ledger discrepancies quickly.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for maintaining professional, courteous relationships with clients during collections.
Education: High school diploma required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is highly preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
