Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Contract Specialist position at OPN will be a key team member for all contracting efforts within the organization. Internally, the position will be responsible for the maintenance and consistent monitoring of all contract documents and necessary information for all departments. Externally, the position will support on all contract negotiations, proposals, and documents for both payers and providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain internal contracts database for both payers and providers
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of payer and provider contracts, amendments, and notices
Prepare proposals for new growth and contracting opportunities
Coordinate with key stakeholders to redline new payor and provider agreements and amendments
Distribute contracting information across the organization
Distribute fully executed contracts to relevant internal parties
Creation and maintenance of internal contract resources for relevant departments
Ensure compliance with company contracts across the organization
Maintain contract template documents such as payer contract, provider contract, LOA, amendments, etc.
Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties
Monitor the performance of payer and provider contracts to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards
Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
Stay up to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed
Ensure all deadlines and timeliness on all contracts and contract negotiations are met

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
3+ years’ experience preferred
Healthcare experience preferred

Skills and Requirements

Highly organized with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as part of a team
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Physical Requirements:

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
