Dukane Precast is hiring Production Associates to help build architectural and structural precast concrete. If you are reliable, willing to learn, and ready for hands-on work, we will train you. No prior precast experience required.

Dukane Precast is a family-owned producer of architectural and structural precast concrete, serving the Chicagoland area for decades. We operate facilities in Naperville, Aurora, and Plainfield, IL, and take pride in a craft-driven culture where precision and long-term relationships define how we work.

What You Will Do

You will handle the daily activities involved in producing precast concrete panels in a safe, productive, and accurate manner, including:

Cleaning and waxing forms
Setting bulkheads, reveals, block-outs, and windows per blueprint specifications
Caulking
Laying out cable, rebar, and mesh
Tying mesh and rebar to cable to secure
Laying out top cable, rebar, and mesh
Stressing cable and top cable using a machine
Placing and cutting insulation
Pouring the top layer of concrete
Raking and shoveling
Placing hardware in fresh concrete
Finishing concrete to the specified finish
Cleaning your area daily
Covering forms
Wearing required PPE and complying with all safety policies and OSHA standards
Performing other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

Ability to work as part of a team and meet production deadlines
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and understand blueprints
Ability to read basic measurements and perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions)
Ability to understand and use hand tools safely
Comfort with frequent lifting (10 to 50 lbs)
Comfort with prolonged standing, walking, and bending
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Education and Experience

No prior precast experience required. We will train the right person.
Entry level

This role requires the ability to:

Lift and carry 10 to 50 lbs
Stand, walk, and sit
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
Reach with hands and arms
Climb or balance, including working from a ladder
Stoop, kneel, and crouch
Talk and hear
Coordinate sequential or simultaneous use of hands, arms, feet, and legs
Maintain eye-hand coordination
Use close vision (clear at 20 inches or less) and distance vision (clear at 20 feet or more)
Use peripheral vision and depth perception
Identify and distinguish colors
Adjust focus

Work Environment

You can normally expect:

Wet or humid conditions
Work near moving mechanical parts
Fumes or airborne particles
Outdoor weather conditions
Moderate to loud noise levels (light motorized equipment up to heavy equipment and jackhammers)
